Nancy Rodas

Nancy, a mother of two, specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families using a trauma-informed, person-centered approach. She employs genuine curiosity in each situation, focusing on collaboratively uncovering individual and family strengths. Her "whatever it takes" approach highlights her commitment to discovering unique skills and tools tailored to each youth and family. Dawn Peters

Introducing Dawn Peters, a mother, grandmother, retired educator, and former administrator who has dedicated her life and career to empowering young minds. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from UC Santa Barbara and teaching credentials from California Lutheran University. Dawn’s extensive experience with young individuals has significantly enhanced their lives. Over her 20-year career, Dawn created an environment conducive to teenagers' success by providing personalized support and firmly believing in the potential of every young individual, both academically and personally. Her mentorship has left a lasting legacy of impact and empowerment in her community and beyond.

Richard Monney

Rich, a seasoned educator with three decades of experience in both public and private schools, has significantly enriched learning environments with his expertise in Kinesiology and educational theories, holding a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s in Education. Known for his calming presence and approachable, positive demeanor, Richard creates inclusive and supportive learning spaces, fostering growth and connections among the young individuals he mentors. A devoted family man with three teenagers, Rich is also an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and surfing. His appreciation for cultural diversity and commitment to mutual respect and understanding reflect his vision of a harmonious and inclusive global community.

Mandy Crawford

Mandy Crawford, a BA in Psychology graduate from California Lutheran University and Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, leverages her experience at an eating disorder treatment facility to foster strong connections and support clients on their recovery journey. With a background as a college soccer player and youth coach, Mandy combines passion and empathy, specializing in self-image and anxiety. She is dedicated to helping clients build confidence and manage anxiety through compassionate, goal-oriented methods. Mandy’s gentle nature is evident in her professional work and personal life, where she enjoys sports, Dodgers games, and spending time with her pets. Her use of anxiety-reducing techniques ensures that clients feel empowered and supported as they strive toward their goals.

Lamar Taylor

Lamar Taylor specializes in working with adolescents and families using a trauma informed, solution focused approach. Lamar works collaboratively with individuals and families to identify strengths and support them in their growth individually or as a unit. Lamar believes transparency, communication, connectivity, and consistency are tools for success. As mentors we plant seeds in adolescents and with the right guidance, we hope they will surround themselves with a support system that will pour into them and watch them blossom.

Aubrielle Miner

Aubrielle is an undergraduate at Brigham Young University studying Psychology and Family
Life. Her Christian faith encourages her to believe that families are the best support system a
youth can have, and she promotes healthy relationships with open communication. She
guides youth on a path where they are independent but not alone. She believes that the most
important skill she learned during her time as a youth in therapy was how to recognize feelings,
understand where they come from, and resolve them. This is a skill she wants to help her clients
learn.

Brandon Perez

Brandon, a psychology graduate from California Lutheran University, works at an eating disorder treatment center in Thousand Oaks, California, where he has gained experience in individual and group therapy, supporting his clients holistically toward recovery. Coming from a large family and as the son of an immigrant, Brandon is particularly attuned to the struggles of familial expectations and the challenges faced by first-generation children. His experience with neurodivergent individuals enriches his understanding of their efforts to thrive daily despite feeling different from their peers. Committed to serving the underserved, Brandon has dedicated his life to making a positive impact in his community and beyond.

Susan Robinson

Susan, a mother of two and dedicated homeschool educator, integrates her Christian faith deeply into her work with children and families. With over a decade of volunteering in Christian settings, including roles as a children's ministry class leader and VBS volunteer, Susan is celebrated for her compassionate care and commitment to nurturing children’s individuality in environments that highlight their unique strengths. Embracing the principle from James 1:19 to be "quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry," she prioritizes effective communication to enhance relationships. Holding a communications degree, Susan leverages her expertise and faith to provide families with essential "tools for their tool chest," aiming to equip children to navigate life’s complexities confidently, ensuring they feel valued and loved.
