Stasie Page

Stasie Page, co-founder of SOAR Mentors, holds a BA and MA from Pepperdine University and has 25+ years of middle school teaching experience. As a mother of two, she transformed her classroom into a supportive space for over 4,000 students, becoming a trusted confidante. Inspired by the gratitude of former students, Stasie now focuses on empowering adolescents through SOAR Mentors, offering tools for self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth. Her vision is to help children learn from challenges, thrive, and pass on valuable lessons to others.

Nancy Rodas, LCSW, is a licensed therapist in Southern California and mother of two children. She began her career in a local school district as a teacher’s assistant and special education teacher before pursuing a master’s in social work. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and families in community mental health and residential settings, as well as with the Department of Children and Family Services. Nancy's passion is empowering marginalized communities, and with SOAR Mentors, she aims to provide family-centered approaches to help families uncover their strengths and thrive.

Overview

SOAR Mentors offers a tailored, flexible, and cost-effective alternative to traditional therapy, specifically addressing the unique challenges faced by teens and their families. Unlike traditional therapists who may focus on diagnosing and treating psychological trauma, SOAR Mentors specialize in everyday stressors like bullying, self-esteem, and time management, helping teens develop the necessary skills and confidence for personal growth in a non-clinical, supportive setting. This approach makes SOAR an ideal choice for families seeking practical and relatable support for their teenagers:

Affordable Alternative

SOAR offers a cost-effective solution compared to traditional therapy, making it more accessible to families looking for support without the high costs typically associated with therapy.

Flexible and Comfortable Settings

Unlike traditional therapy which often takes place in clinical settings, SOAR Mentors meet with young individuals in their homes, virtually, or in other comfortable environments, making the mentoring process inviting and less formal.

Customized and Goal-Oriented Support

SOAR Mentors customize plans to address the specific goals and challenges of each teen. This proactive approach focuses on practical outcomes such as enhancing academic performance, building social skills, and navigating personal challenges.

Focus on Everyday Challenges

While therapists often handle more severe psychological issues and traumatic situations like abuse and diagnosing mental health conditions such as depression, SOAR Mentors specialize in everyday life stressors. They help teens develop coping strategies, manage technology addiction, build confidence, tackle bullying, navigate family divorce, deal with the loss of a loved one, form friendships, improve time management, boost self-esteem, offer career.
